Corn Bread - Lorraine Mayo

  • 1 cup self-rising corn meal mix
  • 2 tbsp oil or bacon fat
  • 1 egg beaten
now you only have to choose one of the three options below.
  • 3/4 cup water and 1/3 cup powdered milk
  • or 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • or 3/4 cup sweet milk
mix all together 4 ingredients together. pour into greased skillet or square pyrex pan. Bake at 500 for 15-20 minutes or until browned.
